ADHD evaluation
One visit to find out, and a plan on paper
For adults who have ADHD or wonder if they do, and for adults who want a fresh evaluation before changing prescriber.
Dr. Madrigal listens first. He asks about school, work, relationships and daily routines, reads any records you bring and goes through standard rating scales with you.

What to expect
What it is like, in six points
What the visit is like
It lasts 75 minutes, in Mesa or by video. You talk, Dr. Madrigal asks and listens, without hurry.
The method
A structured clinical interview, your history, any records you bring and standard rating scales. If someone who knows you well can add their view, we ask.
What it is not
It is not a letter written on request, not an assessment for a court or a school, and not a promise of any medicine.
What you leave with
A written summary of what we found and what we recommend, which may include medication, other care or no change.
Length and frequency
One evaluation visit. Follow-ups, if you start medication, are set with you. We do not promise a number of visits.
You pay for the visit yourself, at the end. The fees page explains how the fee is set and gives a written estimate.
Three questions about this visit
What happens at the first visit, and how often will I come?
The first visit is the evaluation: 75 minutes of interview, history and rating scales. Dr. Madrigal then sets the pace of follow-up visits with you. We do not promise a number of visits.
How soon can I be seen?
Write to us and we reply within one business day with the next evaluation times. If there is a wait, we say so and, if you prefer, give you the names of colleagues.
What is confidential, and what are the limits?
What you share stays between you and Dr. Madrigal. The law sets limits: if someone is at serious risk of harming themselves or another person, or if abuse of a child or an older adult is suspected, he may have to tell others. We explain this in writing before you start.
